We teach so much more than kicking and punching at Family First Martial Arts of Spring Hill TN. We believe that teaching compassion and empathy play a big part in our personal development. Part of our commitment is to encourage our students to lead with a serving heart and play a part in helping the those around them. We love to encourage kids to become better leaders by making a difference through community service. That’s why every year we find different community projects to be part of. We believe that part of the journey to black belt is becoming a better person by serving our community!
One of our favorite charities to work with is the ministry of The Well Outreach, a Partner Agency of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee here in Spring Hill TN. The Well Outreach is a food pantry that serves families in need in the communities of Spring Hill, Thompson Station, College Grove, and northern Columbia. Here at Family First Martial Arts we love to contribute to the Well by hosting a food drive at least once a year. We do this through student donations and hosting classes with admission by donation to the food pantry. This year we raised 475 pounds of food to be donated to the Well. our Black Belt candidates really stepped up with their contributions to the pantry while getting some GREAT training in. Nothing like sweating hard, building our friendships and making a difference in our community all at the same time!
